High-speed Signal Generation and Detection Technologies for Single-wavelength >2-Tb/s Digital Coherent Transmission

Abstract

This paper discusses key technologies toward multi-terabit digital coherent transmission with high-speed electrical signaling. We also present recent research results on >2-Tb/s/wavelength transmission using advanced linear and nonlinear DSP and an in-house >130-GHz InP-DHBT amplifier.
