Abstract

The object and atmospheric phase profiles are reconstructed from short exposure multiframe (speckle) phase diversity data by minimizing a penalized least squares cost functional. A pair of computational algorithms the limited memory BFGS method and a Newton / conjugate gradient/trust region method are compared on a test problem produced with observed image data.
