Abstract
This paper proposes to use the natural image statistics to reconstruct a potential image from a blurred image. The compressive sensing theory and the ℓ1 minimization technique is used to iteratively estimate the image gradient. Its application can be easily extended to restoration of astronomical images, in the case that the image is sparse.
