A Fiber-Optic Surface-Plasmon-Resonance Bio-Sensor

Abstract

The excitation of surface plasmon waves by a novel fiber-optic biosensor employing a long period fiber Bragg-grating is presented. The fabrication and modeling of the promising sensor concept as well as initial experiments are discussed.
