Biofilm Growth Monitoring on a-Si:H Based Mach-Zehnder Interferometric Biosensors

Abstract

We characterize the deposition of a multi layer biotinylated bovine serum albumine/streptavidin biofilm directly on an optical MZI biosensor. From the measurement results we determine the refractive index and layer height of this proteinogenic biofilm.
