A Novel Subwavelength Transmission Resonance in Farby-Perot Resonator with Hyperbolic Metamaterials

Abstract

We describe a novel zero-th order resonance in a Perot-Fabry resonator with planar hyperbolic metamaterials. This resonance combines sub-wavelength light confinement with strong radiative coupling, enabling a practical planar design of nanolasers and subwavelength waveguides.
