Biosensing with a Twist: Detection and Characterization of Biomaterials with Sculpted EM Fields

Abstract

We have developed a new paradigm for plasmonic enhanced sensing, which utilises evanescent field created by chiral plasmonic nanostructures. These "sculpted" EMfields are able to detect biological structure over a unprecedented range of lengthscales.
