Abstract

A Whisper Gallery mode based biosensor with a micro-well array is designed, fabricated and characterized. The micro-well array is used not only for microsphere trapping and identification, but also for enhancement of output light coupled from the sphere to the wall. In experiment, 10 µm fluorescent polystyrene spheres are used for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) detection.
