Long-term reliability of semiconductor light sources for fiber-optic current sensors

Abstract

The wavelength stability of the light source is crucial for the long-term accuracy of fiber-optic current sensors. Accelerated life tests over extended time periods demonstrated excellent reliability of 1310 nm superluminescent light emitting diodes.
