Abstract

We discuss a broadband frequency comb generation by nonlinear intermode mixing of ultrashort laser pulses in a tunneling junction, and applications of ultrafast THz spectroscopy to reveal non-equilibrium dynamics in topological insulators and multiferroic materials.
