Abstract

The proof-of-concept of mid-infrared spectroscopic imaging on biological tissues using a unique semiconductor-filled optical fiber probe is demonstrated [1]. This fiber design could potentially promote the advent of next-generation high resolution infrared medical endoscope technology.
