Abstract

A cost-effective method to produce an in-line optical fiber Fabry-Perot pressure sensor, with a sensitivity of 4.7pm/kPa, is presented. The intrinsic micro-cavities are created by the recycling of optical fibers destroyed by the fuse effect.
