Optical Sensing in Laser Material Processing Applications

Abstract

Material processing is a type of laser applications that requires good control of lasermatter interaction under the condition of high average laser power and high peak intensity. In this talk, I will present examples of applying optical sensing in ultrafast laser processing of polymetric materials to identify optimal processing parameter and achieve closed-loop operation.
