Photothermal Gas Sensor in a Linear Cavity Mode-locked Fiber Laser Configuration

Abstract

An unique photothermal gas sensor configuration employing a simple, mode-locked fiber laser is presented. The concentration of the measured gas sample was encoded in the deviation of pulse repetition frequency, which can be easily demodulated.
