Water Sensor for Testing Fluoride Concentrations in Groundwater to Improve Drinking Water Quality in Developing Countries

Abstract

Optical fibres are coated with 35nm of aluminium; the aluminium reacts with fluoride in water. The rate of change of output voltage is proportional to the fluoride concentration.
