A compact sound wave detection based on a fiber ball-lens resonator

Abstract

We present an all-fiberized ball-lens resonator-based reflectometer sensor that detects sound waves with high sensitivity, which is based on the coupling between the whispering gallery mode formed within the ball-lens and sound waves.
