Abstract

The study presents deformation monitoring of concrete structures using a multimode polymer optical fiber interferometric sensor. The experimental results found that there is a correlation between the results obtained from the fiber sensor and the reference mechanical strain gauge. The presented sensor configuration is suitable for structural health monitoring of concrete structures in practical applications.
