Field Investigation of Serially Connected FBG Cantilever Beam-Based Accelerometer

Abstract

We demonstrate the suitability of the FBG cantilever beam accelerometer to record the seismic traces and pick up the first arrival times in the field in comparison with the standard electro-mechanical 4.5 Hz vertical geophones.
