Abstract

Distortion could be introduced in the null testing with computer generated hologram(CGH) for freeform mirror. A method is proposed to correct the distortion and improve the accuracy of the corrected mapping. Testing result of a off-axis asphere whose diameter size is 1450mm showed that the position error at the edge was 441mm, the distortion coefficient is 0.0559. After mapping distortion correction, the error was reduced to less than 2.2mm.
