Instrument for Early Detection of Hemorrhage via Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy

Abstract

We present an instrument to diagnose hemorrhage by monitoring changes in perfusion associated with early compensatory mechanisms. Detecting these early stages of hemorrhage will allow clinicians to respond sooner to ensure patient survivability.
