Transcranial diffuse optical measurement derived cerebrovascular autoregulation is associated with neurological deterioration in acute stroke patients

Abstract

We have measured the cerebrovascular autoregulation using diffuse optics in 106 stroke patients. The results suggest that diffuse optical measurement of cerebrovascular autoregulation is an important parameter in predicting neurological deterioration.
