Deeper photoacoustic imaging in tissue using an NIR-II contrast agent

Abstract

A biodegradable and biocompatible contrast agent with peak absorption in the second near-infrared window was used to demonstrate deeper photoacoustic imaging (greater than 4 cm) in ex-vivo porcine tissue.
