Subpicosecond and Picosecond Time Resolved Laser Photoionisation of Phenothiazine in Micellar Models

Abstract

Aqueous surfactant solution permits the organization of the reactants at a molecular level and can be used as simple model of electron transfer (1) (2) (3). Ionic micellar solutions which contain a diffuse double layer (Gouy-Chapman region) may be typical of interfacial systems such as membranes. These agglomerates are useful to investigate the effect of the electrostatic potential between the interior and the bulk aqueous phase in the process of electron solvation.
