Picosecond Studies of solved and adsorbed Cyanine Dyes

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The influence of solvent viscosity, isotopic exchange and adsorption on primary photoprocesses like fluorescence, IC, ISC, isomerisation and electron transfer of ionic polymethine dyes was studied experimentally (ps fluorescence, excite and probe spectroscopy) and theoretically (evaluation of the Fokker-Planck-equation).
