Compression of Nd:Yag Pulses to 1.8 Picoseconds

Abstract

Pulses from a CW modelocked Nd:YAG laser have been compressed by 45 times to 1.8 picoseconds using single mode optical fiber and a compact grating pair dispersive delay line.
