Abstract

Photoreduction of excited benzophenone (BP*) is one of the most familiar and fundamental photoreactions. Especially, hydrogen abstraction reaction of excited triplet state of benzophenone (3BP*) from alcohols, amines and other molecules has been widely investigated. In these investigations, much attention has been paid for the elucidation of the role of the charge- transfer state in the hydrogen abstraction.
