Abstract

We describe a cw mode-locked optical parametric oscillator (OPO) providing subpicosecond tunability throughout the near- to mid-infrared with transform-limited pulses and milliwatt outputs. This will be followed by a report of recent optical transmission-correlation measurements of hot carrier relaxation in In GaAs using the femtosecond OPO as a tunable excitation source.
