Plasma Physics with Ultra Short and Ultra Intense Laser Pulses

Abstract

The development of subpicosecond multi-terawatt lasers has been extremely rapid and laser intensities close to 1020 Wcm–2 will soon be available. These lasers have already brought new results in plasma physics and open the way to a broad range of new research avenues.
