A different view of the quantum control of matter

Abstract

Quantum control theory has been developed in the past few years [1] by extending the control theory of classical systems into the quantum domain. It has lead to new insights into the way in which matter can be manipulated that may have important consequences for chemistry, biology, materials science and possibly optical communications and computing.
