Abstract

Time-resolved spectroscopy has advanced to a major tool to investigate the dynamics of photochemical reactions [1]. The Zewail group investigated the electronic predissociation of the NaI molecule by pump/probe fluorescence spectroscopy and monitored the wave packet motion and the decay of the quasibound complex [2].
