Abstract
A sequence of two optical pulses split from the same picosecond laser source, σ+ and σ− polarized, of respective intensities Σ+ and Σ−, excite XH excitons resonantly in GaAs/GaAlAs Multiple Quantum-Wells (LW = 4.8 nm) at T = 1.7 K. The time resolution (1.4 ps) is achieved by the up-conversion technique. We have recorded both exciton luminescence intensity and circular polarization dynamics at different temporal separations Δt between the pulses. The effects reported are observed in an exciton density range estimated between 2 × 1010 and 7 × 1010 cm−2. They are not observed at lower densities.
