Abstract

In this paper we present the full analytical theory of the generation dynamics of solid-state lasers mode-locked by antiresonant loop. Our model can be applied to other mode locking techniques. The theory is based on the quasi-soliton approach, the stability analysis and the nonlinear mapping describing the local dynamical factors in the presence of strong nonlinearities or high pulse intensities.
