Amplitude and Phase Resolved Detection of 50-fs-Pulses Tunable from the Far Infrared up to 41 THz

The electric field amplitude and phase of ultrashort transients generated by phase-matched optical rectification in GaSe is detected electro-optically. Full tunability between 7 µm and 40 µm is achieved with pulse durations of 50 fs.
