Abstract

We have carried out 3 pulse photon echo peak shift (3PEPS) measurements in methanol solution with different solute molecules. When the excitation wavelength was fixed at 635 nm, solute molecules with longer absorption wavelength displayed faster 3PEPS decay. We attributed this effect to the nonlinear optical coupling rather than the structural difference of the molecules. Spectral shift and broadening may exhibit different correlation function.
