Ultrafast Solute Vibrational Spectral Change in Solvation Process

Abstract

Using femtosecond infrared spectroscopy, we have found that the magnitude and dynamics of CO stretch frequency shift of Re(dmbpy)(CO)3Cl in its MLCT excited state varied with the polarity and solvation time in a series of solvents.
