Vibrational mode-specific ultrafast photodissociation dynamics of chlorine dioxide in solution

Abstract

We show that solution-phase photodissociation of OClO in the A2A2-state exhibits vibrational mode-specific features. We monitor wave-packet motions around 400 nm and deduce that some vibronic states live longer than 1 ps in solution.
