Spectral phase correlator for coded waveform recognition using second harmonic generation

Abstract

We report a novel spectral phase correlator scheme for coded ultrashort pulses using SHG in long PPLN crystals. Results using bulk crystals and waveguides show high contrast ratios and the potential for very low power operation.
