Abstract

We present an ultrafast mid-infrared study of excited-state intramolecular proton transfer in 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole. Monitoring the C=O stretching mode of the product state reveals the reaction time, anharmonic coupling features and vibrational relaxation time scales.
