Abstract

The rebinding dynamics of NO in photolyzed MbNO are investigated by femtosecond mid-IR spectroscopy. The spectra with conformer-specific kinetics reveal the details of ligand binding trajectories and suggest that the conformational relaxation controls ligand-binding barrier.
