Abstract

Thermal unfolding of β-sheets in ribonuclease A and ubiquitin is revealed by disappearance of cross peaks in 2D IR spectra. Transient unfolding probed with vibrational echoes following a temperature jump reveals nanosecond to millisecond kinetics.
