Eight-frame observation of propagation behavior of 0.49-mJ, 45-fs optical pulses generated by a 1-kHz laser system

Abstract

We succeeded in observing instantaneous profiles of 0.49-mJ, 45-fs pulses propagating in an atmosphere. A laser system with 1-kHz repetition enabled us to measure them with a sufficient signal-to-noise ratio.
