Spatio-Temporal Properties of Single-Cycle THz Pulses Generated by Relativistic Electron Beams in a Laser-Plasma Accelerator

Abstract

Spatial and temporal properties of single-cycle THz pulses from a laser-plasma accelerator have been measured. Spatio-temporal coupling is observed that can impact pumpprobe experiments: aberrations in the THz focusing system cause an apparent double-pulse structure.
