Time-resolved THz spectroscopy: Ultrafast charge carrier dynamics in low-dimensional solids

Abstract

Ultrashort broadband THz pulses are applied to probe the femtosecond charge carrier dynamics in graphite and carbon nanotubes revealing information on the temporal evolution of the electronic temperature and scattering rate and the plasma frequency.
