Femtosecond Laser-Induced Ionization/Dissociation of Amino Acids and their Derivatives

Abstract

Ultrafast photodissociation mass spectra are presented for the protonated amino acids and their derivatives. The spectral library is used to better understand the mechanism by which a Ti:Sapphire laser activates trapped ions to induce fragmentation.
