Driving Electronic Wavepackets by Attosecond Half-Cycle Pulses

Abstract

We study the feasibility of using attosecond half-cycle pulses for quantum control of electron wavepacket motion. Measured strong asymmetries in electron-momentum-spectra are explained by quantum simulations to result from excited state dynamics and Coulomb effects.
