Ultrafast dynamics of the BLUF mutant dAppA Q63E revealed by TRIR and fluorescent upconversion

Abstract

Primary processes in blue light sensing proteins are investigated by ultrafast vibrational and fluorescence spectroscopy. A major role for modulation of H-bonded interaction between flavins and a critical Q63 residue are revealed through mutagenesis.
