Measuring the spatiotemporal field of diffracting and non-diffracting ultrashort pulses

Abstract

Using SEA TADPOLE, we directly measure the spatiotemporal field of pulses after diffracting off of simple apertures observing the “boundary wave pulses”. We also measure the spatiotemporal field of non-diffracting, superluminal Bessel-X pulses.
