Interplay between GDD-induced polarization gating and ionization for isolated attosecond pulse generation from multi-cycle driving pulses

Abstract

A new scheme is employed to generate single-shot XUV continua by 15-fs 800-nm pulses. Continua are due to the formation of a single attosecond pulse and attributed to the interplay between polarization and ionization gating.
