Ultrafast Pump-Probe Spectroscopy of a Dual-Band Negative-Index Metamaterial

Abstract

We study the nonlinear optical response of a dual-band negative-index metamaterial with two-color pump-probe spectroscopy. We demonstrate the utility of the device as a nanoscale, structurally tunable, subpicosecond all-optical modulator.
