Motional narrowing of phonon spectrum driven by ultrafast dielectric fluctuation in dimer Mott insulator

Abstract

Motional narrowing of phonon spectrum was observed in organic dimer Mott insulator, reflecting ultrafast dielectric fluctuation which is driven by flip of the dimer dipole. Moreover, this phonon is coherently induced by the electronic excitation.
